Sapori ("Sapori," "we," "us," or "our") is a product of Aurelium Labs LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Sapori mobile app and website (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We built Sapori to be private by default — your recipes belong to you.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

Account details — your email address and, optionally, a display name and profile photo when you create an account.
Your content — the recipes, collections, tags, pantry items, meal plans, and grocery lists you create or import.
Support messages — anything you send us when you contact support.

Information collected automatically

Usage and device data — app version, device type, operating system, and basic interaction events used to keep the Service reliable.
Diagnostics — crash logs and performance data to help us fix problems.

2. How we use your information

To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
To sync your recipes and collections across your devices when you sign in.
To power AI features such as recipe import, pantry matching, and substitutions.
To respond to your support requests and important account notices.
To detect, prevent, and address security or technical issues.

3. AI processing

When you import a recipe from a URL, photo, or text, the content may be processed by AI services to extract structured ingredients and steps. We send only what is needed to perform the task. We do not sell your content, and we do not use your private recipes to train third-party advertising models.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited cases:

Service providers — trusted vendors (for example, cloud hosting and AI processing) who handle data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
At your direction — when you make a recipe or profile public, or share a recipe link.
Legal reasons — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

5. Your choices and rights

Privacy by default — recipes are private until you choose to share them.
Export — you can export your recipes at any time.
Access & deletion — you can request a copy of your data or delete your account, which removes your content from our systems.
Marketing — you can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your content within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information and continuously improve our practices.

8. Children's privacy

Sapori is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. International users

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
